About
Welcome to Amigos Fort Dodge, a hidden gem located at 280 N 1st St, Fort Dodge, IA. This vibrant eatery embodies the heart of community dining, blending delightful flavors with a welcoming atmosphere. At Amigos, the spirit of camaraderie shines through both the food and the service, making it an ideal stop for friends and families alike.
As I pulled up to the restaurant, I was greeted by the cheerful buzz of patrons enjoying their meals outdoors, with the scenic river providing a picturesque backdrop. The location, complete with paved bike trails leading directly to its entrance, is perfect for those seeking a flavorful pit stop after a day of outdoor adventures. It's no surprise that the local bike club finds support from owner Mark, who actively encourages community involvement in outdoor activities.
Diving into the menu, the selections are genuinely impressive. From classic favorites to innovative dishes, there’s something for everyone. Customer 'S Bellz' raved about their outstanding pizza, showcasing that Amigos isn't just another Mexican restaurant; it's a culinary experience. The diverse offerings ensure that whether you're in the mood for savory wings or hearty wraps, every bite is a delight. As echoed in a review by 'Jessica Jones', the nachos are a perfect sharing option—great for two or three people, making them an ideal appetizer to begin your meal.
While Amigos Fort Dodge does offer some local bar favorites, it's clear they strive to deliver a unique twist on traditional dishes. 'Ruby Conatser' mentioned her first experience there, highlighting the excellent service and delicious meals. However, it’s worth noting that traditional guacamole fans might find the menu a bit lacking in that department. Nevertheless, the overall culinary adventure offered at Amigos is not to be missed.
Although 'John Tunstall' mentioned the prices are on the higher end, the quality of food certainly justifies it. Each dish feels crafted with care, from fresh ingredients to bold flavors—making it a worthwhile indulgence during your next outing. Whether you're a local looking for a reliable spot or a visitor exploring the area, Amigos Fort Dodge promises to deliver delightful meals paired with warm hospitality.
In conclusion, if you're seeking a fun-filled dining experience along with engaging service, Amigos Fort Dodge should be at the top of your list. “ Great local spot along the river for food and drinks. Paved bike trails run right to it, and area mountain bike trails located just across the river. Owner Mark is a big supporter in the local activities including the mountain bike club ”
“ Was my first time there I didn't remember our waitress's name but she was awesome I think it was Megan Delicious delicious delicious The only thing I was confused about is most Mexican restaurants have guacamole Other than that Food was great Scott kirkhart was great ”
“ Great bar food every time we've been in. From the wings to the wraps. This last time we ordered nachos for our appetizers, it's a perfect size for 2 or 3 people before your meal or just for something nibble on. ”
“ Just happened to stop here by chance. Passing through on our way home from Ames to Sioux City. The pizza was delicious! We'll definitely have to stop back sometime. ”
“ The location is perfect! It’s so relaxing to sit outside by the river with the sun on you! There are also tables that are blocked from the sun. Plenty of seating outside! The nachos were yummy, could use more cheese sauce but still good. I love sour cream so I have to ask for more because you get a little plastic container of it (and salsa) so ask for more when you order it if you go through a lot. The wings were pretty good too! We couldn’t decide on a flavor so they brought us some of each sauce to try. I tried the new PRESS drink and I thought it was pretty good but it’s only 4% alcohol, white claws are 5%. ”
“ I've been here 2 times now. Food has been great, and the service always good. This is a hidden gem in Fort Dodge. ”
